ABSTRACT
The foregoing evidence established the fact that the greatness of Pre-Colonial Benin constituted with the Benin women, and that their economic role is justified. The justification rests on the need to understand the growth and development, the women have brought to the Benin Empire. Findings in this study have contributed to knowledge of the role of women in Pre-Colonial economy of Benin. The study interrogated the origins nothing, development, political, social and economic activities of the women in pre colonial period. This project work fully undertake further exposition of all activities of women to the development of Benin.
