ABSTRACT
Ugbokhirima's economic development history unveiled a narrative steeped in vibrant culture, societal evolution, and external influences. From its inception as an indigenous settlements to the colonial era, this research work examined the impact of colonialism on the agricultural revolution of Ugbokhirima down to the transformative dynamics, in post colonial Nigeria. This reflects resilience, cultural richness, and adaptability. Throughout Ugbokhirima's history, women have played pivotal roles in agriculture, contributing significantly to the town's farming economy. Their involvement in subsistence farming, crop cultivation, and agricultural practices has been integral to the community's sustenance.
