The increasing global campaigns by Women movement for gender equality have raised popular consciousness and intense academic discourse on the poor participation of women in politics across the globe. Since sustainable democratic government relies upon the participation of all citizens in determining through elections and political processes, who governs them; the importance of isomer's involvement in political and human development cannot be over emphasized. Despite the increasing agitation for gender equality all over the world however, for years, women record poor participation in politics and decision making position. This is despite the fact that women constitute half of the world population.
