ABSTRACT
This research study assesses the utilization of computer aided instruction for learners in Benin Metropolis four research questions were raised to guide the study. The survey research design was used.
The instrument used was questionnaire titled ‘questionnaire on utilization of computer aided instruction for adult learners. The questionnaire was administered to 100 adult learners and 50 facilitators randomly selected from the literacy centres. The data collected were analysed using percentage and mean score. The data collected were analysed using percentage and mean score. The findings of the research show that computer aided instruction is not been utilized in adult literacy programme and that most of the facilitators are not knowledgeable in the utilization of computer aided instruction.
Based on this, it was recommended that adult facilitators training programme be reviewed to include ICT and basic computer skills and that the government should found the literacy centres with subsidized computer aid instruction materials.
