Advances in computing technology have fueled the popularity of numerical approximation as a valuable tool for scientists and engineers. Iterative methods, essentially employing multiple computing resources simultaneously, play a crucial role. This project aims to investigate several aspects of iterative methods, including: An introduction to the foundational concepts and principles of iterative methods for solving linear systems, An exploration of different iterative methods and their applications in numerical analysis, An examination of convergence criteria and their significance and A review of preconditioners and their various types.
