ABSTRACT
“The flow of an electrically conducting Casson fluid containing nanoparticles and microorganisms in a porous medium influenced by a uniform magnetic field past a wedge is considered. In order to non-dimensionalize the resulting equations, a similarity variable as well as reference scales for the velocity, temperature and components concentration was introduced. Resulting to, a system of third order, non-linear differential equations corresponding to a two-point boundary value problem which was solved numerically. Numerical results for the parameters of engineering interests: skin friction, Nusselt, Sherwood number, micro-organisms flux as well as the velocity, temperature, nanoparticles concentration and microorganisms concentration profiles within the boundary layer are presented for different physical parameters. The analysis of the obtained results show that the field of flow is significantly influenced by these parameters.
