University of Benin Students Utilization of Social Media During 2022 ASUU Strike

    ABSTRACT

This study examined he Utilization of social media during the 2022 ASUU strike, the ripple effect of ASUU Strike on University students and to what extent was university of Benin students able to utilize social media during the 2022 ASUU strike. The study used a Non disguised Structured questionnaire for its instrument of data collection. The study result indicated that social media was found to be effective and helpful in relaying the concerns of uniben students to bothe the government and ASUU members and that the use of social media played a significant role in bringing an end to the 2022 ASUU Strike. The study concluded by recommending that the right choice of a good communication medium, like the social media would always mobilize Nigeria Student and amplify their voices by making them heard by the Government and ASUU members and this will help implement positive changes.
