Summary
Chapter 1 clearly highlight the structure of the project from the background of the study down to the chapters outline and finally the endnotes. All of these whichever are the introductions and a look into the thesis of the main project.
Chapter 2 which is the major contribution and extraction of information talks about the development of transportation system in Benin City, evolution and origin of Uselu motor park, the role the Uselu motor park has played in the aspect of long distance travel
Chapter 3 talks clearly about how transportation system has so far improve and development also the chapter discussed several important aspects of the park, aspects such as the destination of the motor park which clearly is seen that the motor park only travel to the western region. lastly on this chapter the economic impact of the Uselu motor park to the residents, passenger and Benin city as whole was discussed.
Chapter 4 discusses the contribution of National union of road transport worker an organization set up basically to serve the interest of transport workers in the road transport sector,by calling for collective obtaining and pushing for social stability for all workers in the transport sector as defined it its constitution. Also in this chapter the impact of the NURTW on transportation sector is extensively discussed, the impact of transportation and unionism in Nigeria etc.
This research points that Uselu Motor Park plays a vital role in the region's transportation infrastructure, but also faces challenges related to congestion, safety, and efficiency. Throughout this project, i have been able to look at various aspects of Uselu Motor Park, including its origins as a major transportation hub for the region. Have found that the park was established in the early as a local bus stop, and has since grown to become one of the busiest and most important motor parks in Benin City.
The study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the transportation system in Benin city by providing a comprehensive historical account of Uselu motor park . It will help policy makers, urban planners and transportation authorities understand the factors that have shaped the evolution of transportation system in Benin and the development of Uselu motor park, it can also serve as a valuable resource for future planning and development initiatives aimed at improving transportation infrastructure in Benin city.
The study will also enable aspiring park’s administrators to understand in a clear manner the impact of Transportation system in Benin city and in the aim of attaining growth, development and its impact on the people of Benin. Also the goal is to gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Uselu Motor Park in the future.
It’s important to note that with this research one has been able to know that Uselu Motor Park is a key component of the transportation system in Benin City, but there is limited information about its historical development and the role it plays in the city. the historical development of Uselu Motor Park and its role in the transportation system of Benin City has been discussed over time by the residents and passengers who tend to board the bus to their various locations, and so far so good all that have been said and documented about the history of park seem to be nothing to write home about in terms of the parks growth and development.
Also aiming on how to meet the needs of the city's residents with a focus on how it has adapted to changes in technology, infrastructure, and population growth. Therefore, the study has answered answer the following questions which include, factors that led to the development of the park, How the park has impact and influence social and economic development in Benin city, the various role the park has played in meetings the demands of the city’s transportation needs.
