ABSTRACT
This study examines the transition from Millennium Development Goals to Sustainable Development Goals. The aim of this study is to examine the performance of the MDGs and its degree of success as a major determinant of how the MDGs fared using Benin City as a case study. Questionnaires were administered to acquire important information's on the subject matter. Cross tabulations, charts and frequency tables were used to analyze the data. It was found that, there was a measure of success in the implementation of the MDGs. One of the goals which is poverty eradication wasn’t achieved. With the level of success in the MDGs respondents thinks that the SDGs could also be achieved. In implementing the SDGs, all stakeholders should be involved.
