ABSTRACT
The attempt to dissect a literary piece in the contemporary literary square roves beyond form and content. It also must lend itself to social relevance and aesthetics. There have been narratives that have been written on the themes of sexual immorality and futility by several writers. However, none of them has discussed the themes of sexual immorality, futility and attainment using Adekunle Mamudu’s The Beauty of Madness and Blind Search as case study. This essay also discusses some of the literary devices used by the writer in both texts, which help to enhance the language and central message of the writer. The extra ordinary input that seems to make the work outstanding is the infusion of comic relief and pathetic scenarios. It is therefore the thrust of this paper to reveal how Adekunle Mamudu present the themes of sexual immorality in the different sectors of a society, the futility of human aspirations and the attainment of individuals after much ordeals.
