Both works studied are social critical plays that deal with certain matters arising; this case in the societal and political affairs of the country in question. These playwrights were able to emphasize on certain relative issues that are actively seen in society. Hence, a paramount function of literature, which is to expose societal ills and proceed to proffer solutions seen in each of the plays studied. Therefore the study unravels dramatic techniques like satire, symbol, irony, foreshadowing and flashback, alongside themes of political corruption, protest and violence, embezzlement of funds and resources and unemployment. It is evident that Nigeria dramatists use their work to encode Nigeria political predicament with a view to make people interested in issues such as the importance of responsible leadership and followership in the country. This has proved to be one of the most effective ways to reduce political malpractice and further entrench the nation’s democratic values
