ABSTRACT

Real life phenomena are often studied using the tools of differential equations as plethora numbers of models have been developed and currently more are being developed. Various procedures for solving these models have been created to get a close form solution which can easily be interpreted and the method for getting this solutions is referred to as analytical. In the course of this study, we will discuss using variable separable, homogeneous, exact, and linear equation for solving the differential equations analytically. But most times, it was observed tha0t it is almost impossible to get a close form solution for these models especially for real life issues or complex problems. In those cases, numerical methods are introduced and in this study, we will discuss solving different equations numerically using Euler’s method, Improved Euler’s method, Runge-kutta method, etc Lastly, we will be applying differential equations to real life problems such as Growth and decay, Cooling, Circuits and Mixtures.
