ABSTRACT
This study; titled the strategic role of political parties in the 2023 general election in Nigeria; case study people`s democratic parties [PDP] in Edo state Egor local government area. politics identify the role of political parties in Edo state and Nigeria politics, explore the way and manner political parties meet their expectation to the voter`s , examine political parties on how they discharge their dividends of democracy in Edo state politics and assess the performance of political parties most especially people’s democratic party in Egor local government areas, this study revealed that Nigerian politics is being`s determined by political party`s it further form a formidable and functional political parties that can promote democracy. And exposed or disclosed to us that political parties are the driving force in Nigerian politics.
