SUMMARY
The purpose of this research was designed to find out the socio-demography status and its effect on protest participation in Nigeria: a case study of the 2020 #EndSARS protest in Benin city. The researcher made effort in analyzing the level of real economic value during the #EndSARS protest in Benin-City, the socio-demographic status and it impact on protest, the cause of the #EndSARS protestand factors that limited the nationalization of the protest. The study revealed that the #EndSARS protest though a peaceful one initially was a reaction to police brutality hence the call for the disbandment of SARS. Although the disbandment has been announced severally, there has been little or no implementation not until the protest.
