ABSTRACT
Edo is rich and known for their artistic work of art. This project will discuss the semiotic of Edo cultural art. The method adopted in sourcing data for this researcher is the primary and secondary data collection. The theoretical framework adopted for this study is the semiotic framework. The research found out that the art work of Edo actually communicates to the Edo people. It deals with the linguistic value of Art in Edo: the communicative value of Arts and the listing of the art work will be shown.
Edo art communicate widely to the Edo people, mostly in ceremonies. These arts are mostly use in adorning the gods because of what it symbolize and represented.
