ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to assess the role of information and communication technology in promoting distance learning programme in Nigerian universities. Four research questions were raised. This study made use of the descriptive survey research design.
The population of the study consisted One hundred (100) distance learning student which is also the sample respondents for the study. The instrument for data collection for this study was a self-constructed close-ended questionnaire.
The split-half reliability method was used to determine the reliability of the instrument and the process yielded an index of 0.89 Data obtained from the study were analysed using mean score analysis.
