ABSTRACT
The study looked into the role of Community and Social Development Project (CSDP) in Community Development: while looking at its Impact Assessment On Isihor Community. The study sought to investigate the role and impact of Community and Social Development Project in Isihor Community, especially as it has to do with the economic, welfare and standard of living of people in Ishior community. The study adopted the descriptive research design method, while using a 24 item likert scale questionnaire to elicit responses from 100 respondents in which 92 responses were returned for analysis, using mean and standard deviation. Before distribution, the research instrument was validated by the researcher’s supervisor who made corrections and adjustment to the items. The study found out that; the nature of the CSDP organization in Isior community is seen in it been political, organization's political engagement, having success stories, future plans, and collaborative efforts; the study also found that CSDP is important as it has significantly improved the standard of living, provided essential amenities, and fostered social wellbeing in the community in Ishior community. The study concluded that it is imperative to sustain and build upon the achievements of the CSDP organization by continuing to prioritize community needs, fostering partnerships with stakeholders, and implementing targeted interventions to address emerging challenges. The study recommended that. Community and Social Development Project Organization (CSDP) agencies should Strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders, community groups, and government agencies to leverage resources and expertise for more comprehensive and sustainable development initiatives. Also, Community and Social Development Project Organization (CSDP) agencies should implement capacity-building programs to empower community members with skills and knowledge necessary for active participation in decision-making processes and project implementation and also establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of interventions continuously. Use feedback to refine strategies and address emerging community needs.
