ABSTRACT
The study focuses on The Role of Cloud Computing in enhancing the Management of Record in University of Benin. The study goals were focused on the impact of cloud computing technologies in the management of records, the extent to which cloud computing technologies have affected the management of records in University of Benin.
The findings from the study indicated that the impact of Cloud Computing Technologies in enhancing the Management of Records at the University of Benin includes the following: enhanced data privacy for cloud-based documents, multiple access to a wide range of records at the same time, and effective saving a wide range of university record, speeds up the management of university records and provides opportunities for providing value-added services and easy access to records.
The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The data collected was also analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings from the study indicated. There are numerous challenges of cloud computing technology in enhancing the management of records University of Benin. These challenges include: inadequate open standards, poor backup plans, cloud hackers, poor power supply, Poor network, Poor advanced training for records managers, and inadequate interoperability
