ABSTRACT
This study was able to detect the impact of corporate social obligations on Nigerian society, and it shows that corporate social responsibility leads to a healthy lifestyle in the community. Companies must contribute to their communities by cleaning up pollution, providing infrastructure, and promoting social development. A corporation cannot advance successfully in a regressive society¹.
This work is an attempt to examine how corporate social responsibility affects MTN Nigeria's business performance. The study's findings indicate that MTN Nigeria has persisted in making investments in fields that have strong ties to a variety of stakeholders, including the government, business groups, and the country's workforce. One such portfolio is the education empowerment portfolio, which focuses on funding initiatives that close the knowledge and digital gaps. This is because the management recognizes that education is one of the most important indicators of social progress and that it is essential for a society to achieve equal, self-sustaining development. Additionally, education is a key component of the human development strategy, which trains workers who will work diligently.
Furthermore, economic growth is a necessary but not sufficient condition for economic
development because as the economy develops, emphasis must be place on human development and a healthy nation is a wealthy nation. Health and economic development shows a two way relationship. Development generally improves the health system, whereas better health increases productivity, social cohesion and economic welfare. Investment in human capital of a nation includes expenditure on education, training and health, all scared towards enhancing citizen’ s future productivity because poor nutrition and health reduce labor productivity and all organizations can only provide products and services for a healthy nation³.

Operators have found it difficult to have a significant influence in areas in which they are more knowledgeable. Rather, funding has been allocated to numerous areas, causing the message they were intended to convey to become less evident. The banking and telecommunications industries are not unfamiliar with the concept of corporate social responsibility.
• Virtually every company in the banking and telecommunications sectors has a well-crafted corporate social responsibility policy that is rigorously adhered to; while profit is always a firm's main and primary goal, no responsible company would overlook the all-important corporate social responsibility objective. This strategy is also designed to abide by government directives and regulatory authority guidelines.
Participating in socially conscious actions enhances a company's reputation and reputational value, which in turn gives it a competitive advantage over other businesses through increased business from socially conscious enterprises.
• The advancement of social responsibility has a significant impact on society by enhancing the infrastructure and
