ABSTRACT
The primary aim of this research was to examine the impact of intimate partner violence on women living in Oluku community. The study sought to understand the prevalence of intimate partner violence, explore its causes, determine its effects on children, and identify social work intervention strategies. The study employed a survey methodology, collecting data from a diverse range of respondents within the Oluku community. The data collected included demographic information and responses to questions about intimate partner violence and social work interventions.
The findings revealed a high prevalence of intimate partner violence within the community, affecting a significant number of women and indirectly impacting children within these households. The study underscored the crucial role of social workers in addressing this issue and highlighted the community's desire for increased education and awareness-raising efforts. Based on these findings, the study recommends increasing awareness about intimate partner violence, strengthening social support systems, providing increased support for victims, implementing relevant policies, and conducting further research.
