ABSTRACT

The escalation of the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East region of Nigeria since 2002 have led to the death of thousands of people and have left about 4 million people displaced. This conflicts cause a considerable lost of life and breakdown of family structures, destruction of property and infrastructure, addition to the absence of means of livelihood. This challenges has given birth to the crucial need to ameliorate the plights of victims of this insurgence across the country especially the northern half of Nigeria. Inspite of the federal government and various international Organizations had taken action to tackle the challenges of these Internal displaced persons there is always this need for more hands to be on the deck. Hence, Faith based organisation as non-state actors are well known to contribute their own quota in cushioning the challenges of internal displaced persons. One of this prominent religious non-state actors is the ICC which started as an home for the needy in 1992 by Pastor Solomon.
