ABSTRACT

This study investigates the perceived influence 0f ICT in the effective teaching and learning process of the nomadic groups in Ikorodu local government area of Lagos State.  Four (4) research questions were raised to guide the study.

The simple random sampling technique was employed to select samples for the study.  The questionnaire was the major instrument used for the study and was designed and validated by experts in the department of Adult and Non-Formal Education, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Education, University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria for item scrutiny. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques such as tables, simple percentages, mean score and standard deviation.

Findings of the study revealed that the effect of the use of ICT on the engagement and learning outcomes of nomadic migrant in the educational process will be greatly beneficial if implemented. ICT integration in education positively impacts the academic performance of nomadic migrant students, the use of ICT helps nomadic migrants to overcome geographical barriers and access quality educational content It was further recommended that Culturally Sensitive Educational Content, Develop and curate educational content that is culturally sensitive and relevant to the experiences of nomadic communities. This includes incorporating local languages, traditions, and contextual examples into digital learning materials.
