ABSTRACT
Over the long run the media framework in the Nigeria has confronted series of difficulties as with respect to government related stories. This challenge is basically made by the powerlessness of the public authority authorities give their full rundown of a story regardless of whether its in support of themselves. In spite of this endeavor by government authorities to guarantee journalist don't get the story they expect to get, some journalist actually push forward with different mantras on their head FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, THE RIGHT TO KNOW &JOURNALIST STANDS AS THE WATCHDOG IN THE GENERAL PUBLIC TODAY, so they do everything possible to get the full detail of the different stories.
Not all journalist can guarantee they get the all relevant info of government related issues particularly when the media houses are government claimed or government authorities possessed. Be that as it may, some excited journalist gives no space for tenacity and they work till they get the full story, and tragically along the line some wind up loosing their jobs, caerer as a whole, danger to their family and, surprisingly, as indicated by history some wind up loosing their lives along the line.
The point of this study is to look at how the public authority has shown their obstruction, how they have declined the media from getting data from them and furthermore how to further develop the Government media relationship, aiming to shed light on the challenges facing media freedom and democratic governance in the country.
