ABSTRACT
This work provides an overview of the use of Mathematical model to explain the epidemiology of infectious diseases, notably foot and mouth and to assess the potential benefits of purpose control strategies. We formulate SIR epidemic and endemic model and obtained the basic reproductive number. And also carried out stability analysis on the model and show that the disease free equilibrium is stable whenever R0< 1 and unstable when R0> 1.
