The Influence of Audio-Visual materials in the Teaching of English language in Secondary School : A Case Study of schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State

Abstract

This study examined the Influence of Audio-Visual materials in the Teaching of English language in Secondary School in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State. The researcher employed the use the descriptive survey research method. Three research questions were raised to guide the study and are stated as follows: 

1. What is Audiovisual materials?
2. What is the effect of Audiovisual materials on students’ performance in English Language?
3. What is the effect of Audiovisual materials in teaching of English Language?

Data gathered from the questionnaire administered to schools were analyzed using tables; frequency count and percentages.
