ABSTRACT
This research delves into the critical relationship between specific skills acquisition and its profound impact on entrepreneurship performance and innovation. The study was aimed at examining the effect of skills acquisition on entrepreneurship development. The data for this study were obtained through the use of questionnaires administered to the study participants. The study employed the descriptive statistics in analyzing and interpreting the responses from the study participants while the hypothesis was tested using chi-square statistical tool. The results indicated that creativity, effective communication skills, adaptability, financial literacy and risk-taking were crucial skills for successful entrepreneurship development. Thus, it was concluded that the impact of the specific skills on business performance and innovation is undeniable. It is therefore recommended that entrepreneurs should prioritize skills development relevant to their industry. Policy makers should also support skills training initiatives.
