This study looked at the effect of practical training and hands-on experience on lowering unemployment among Edo State university students studying business education. To direct the investigation, four research questions were posed. Descriptive survey research was used in the study. 118 400-level business education students from the University of Benin in Benin City, Edo State, made up the study's sample size. The entire population served as the sample size due to the tiny population size. Thus, a census was conducted. A structured questionnaire was used as the data collection tool. "Impact of Hands-on Experience and Practical Training in Reducing Unemployment Among Business Education Students Questionnaire (IHEPTRUABESQ)" was the title of the survey.Sections A and B made up the survey. The supervisor of the researcher and two additional specialists from the University of Benin's Department of Vocational and Technical Education in Benin City validated the research tool, which is the questionnaire. Cronbach alpha statistics were utilized to measure the consistency of the items in order to determine the reliability coefficient of the instrument. Twenty Ambrose Ali University in Ekpoma business education students who were not included in the study population were given this instrument. A coefficient of 0.78 was found, indicating the instrument's dependability. The Statistical Packages for the Social Sciences (SPSS) were used to analyze the data by calculating the mean (x) and standard deviation (SD).According to the data, business education students at Edo State universities who receive practical training and hands-on experience have a considerable impact on lowering their unemployment rates. The results of the study demonstrated that fieldwork, internships, apprenticeships, and practical training have a significant impact in lowering unemployment among students pursuing business education at Edo State universities. Practical training and hands-on experience were found to be an essential component of general education since they will give students the skills and information they need to succeed in the workforce. Based on the aforementioned findings, the study suggested, among other things, that colleges make sure that their business school curricula incorporate practical training and hands-on experience.
