ABSTRACT
Covid-19 is a highly infectious respiratory disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2). It was first identified in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China in December 2019 and declared by WHO a global pandemic in March 2020. SARS-COV-2 is transmitted through respiratory droplets, close contact, and asymptomatic carriers. Symptoms appear after an incubation period between 2–14 days post-exposure and range from asymptomatic to severe pneumonia. Some of the clinical manifestations include dry cough, fever, dyspnoea, muscle aches, etc. This virus had severe impacts on the lives of many around the world, the objective of this research is to study how this virus that became a global pandemic affected the younger demographic, from their personal lives to their educational careers. Our case study is the Federal University of Benin, and the effects of the virus on her students.
