THE EFFECT OF TEAMWORK ON ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE

ABSTRACT

This study examines the effect of teamwork on organizational performance. In today's society, people focus a lot on being proud and achieving things on their own at work. This means that the idea of working together as a team gets ignored by managers and employees. Because of this, managers don't think teamwork is important for doing well, which leads to them performing poorly and not being very productive in their industry. So, this study wants to find out how working together as a team affects how well an organization does. The objective of the study was to identify factors associated with teamwork, and also examine the impact of teamwork on organizational performance. The methodology used was a survey research design through the use of a structure questionnaire in getting data from respondents, the census method was also adopted, the study sample was collected from employees of Vcosa Softouch and Joytech global concept. the method of data analysis that was adopted is Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The major findings from the study revealed that teamwork has a positive effect on the performance of the organization, and the researcher made the following recommendations was that, organizations who have discounted teamwork, must start employing it, by organizing training programs, and also, organizations should try to build teamwork within the workplace which will enable them pattern their growth and development.
