The descriptive statistics of frequency distribution and percentages and the inferential statistics were used in this study to assess the data that were gathered via the administration of questionnaires. The analysis's findings indicate that a set method and set of guidelines are followed when choosing competent candidates for the Delta State civil service. The report also suggests that job tasks should be clearly defined, training should be provided on the job, and employment should be continuous for all types of employees in Delta State's public sector in order to ensure successful recruiting and selection. The SPSS Chi-Square statistical tool was used to evaluate the hypothesis.
