ABSTRACT
This study assessed the economic impact of the central bank of Nigeria new naira note redesign policy on the central bank of Nigeria citizens using university of Benin faculty of social science students as a case study. The main goal, purpose or objective were to critically examine the various the various impact or effect the CBN naira redesign policy had on the livelihood of Nigerian citizens. This adopted a survey research design the sample technique used in this research was simple random sampling, Taro Yamane formula which produced a sample size of 285, questioning was used to collect data from the faculty of social science university of Benin Nigeria and the respondents were students of these faculty and chi - square was used for data analysis. Based on the findings it was recommended that the federal government of Nigeria ensure the establishment of a good automatic teller machine system in banks around the country , the federal government should also establish good monetary policies at long term dates. The federal government should ensure the improvement of central bank of Nigeria legal tender or currency redesign policies, Commercial banks should also improve their online service delivery and banking applications services to their customers. The central bank of Nigeria should fix a particular time for a new naira redesign policy implementation process, the positions and authority of a central bank governor should be checked appropriately to prevent abuse of office and power and authority.
