ABSTRACT
This quantitativarche study addresses the design studio and the challenges associated with design studio projects as experienced by architectural students. It discusses architectural education, describes the design studio as a learning environment, the design process and reviews literature on the challenges as experienced by other schools of architecture. A small-scale online questionnaire survey was conducted with a collection of 29 valid responses. The findings indicated that majority of architectural students’ top challenges are time management, intense multiple workload and lack of technology.
