ABSTRACT
The Neem plant is a fast-growing Perennial tree that is native of’the Indian subcontinent. The leaf of Neem plant is used traditionally and industrially in various part of the world, but is abundant in Asia and West Africa. Soursop Leaf (Annona muricata) is a flowering evergreen tree native to Mexico, Cuba, Central America and parts of India. This study evaluated photochemical properties and the antibacterial activities of ethanol neem plant and soursop leaf extract combination. Assessment of phytochemical properties was based on standard procedures and bacterial isolates were obtained from the Department of Microbiology laboratory and identified using cultural and morphological methods. The results from the phytochemical analysis of aqueous extract combination showed the presence of one phytochemical(Flavonoids). While the phytochemical analysis of ethanol extract combination showed the presence of three phytochemical(Terponoids,Glycosides and Sapronins). The antibacterial activities of the both leaf extract showed that 100% concentration of the extract inhibited the growth of E.coli (12 mm, 8 mm, and 8 mm ) and Klebsiella pneumoniae (10 mm,8 mm and 10 mm).
