ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research work is to examine the Test of relationship between time spent on Social Media and Academic Performance Of students in University of Benin. Four Research questions and four Research hypotheses was examined in the study. To achieve this, the descriptive survey research design was adopted. The study focused on University of Benin hence, population consists of all the full-time undergraduate students. The stratified random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 384 students. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS and hypothesis were tested, it was observed that there was a significant relationship between time spent on the internet and academic performance whereas there was no association between student level of education and their use of social media based on the sample survey and the hypothesis tested
