ABSTRACT
Social media plays an important role in combating terrorism and terrorist propaganda, as demonstrated by a case study of Boko Haram. It has been claimed that the Boko Haram syndicate's persistent use of social media to spread its messages has a negative impact on social media users by instilling fear in them during their regular activities. Social media is a tool that Boko Haram uses to spread its messages and find new recruits. Its primary goal is to project an image of superiority over the Nigerian government and to express its utter contempt for it. The aim is to portray the government as dishonest, insufficient, fraudulent, incapable, and so on. But thanks to social media's regulations and assistance, it has been possible to recognize terrorist propaganda and consistently remove it from the platform.
