ABSTRACT
The return of democracy to Nigeria has had a major influence on the country's foreign policy. Nigeria has seen many difficulties since the military administration ended in 1999, one of which is terrorism, which the government now views as a serious threat. Terrorist acts, such as kidnappings, bombings, and political killings, have significantly increased with the establishment of the militant Islamist group Boko Haram. Nigeria's global ties as well as its domestic security have been impacted by this.
