ABSTRACT

Small businesses are the backbone of many economies, but assessing the viability of new opportunities is a crucial step in their success. This research project aims to provide a systematic review of techniques used to evaluate the viability of small business opportunities. By analyzing existing literature and industry practices, this study identifies and synthesizes effective methods for assessing market potential, financial feasibility, competitive analysis, and risk evaluation. The findings of this research will provide entrepreneurs, small business owners, and investors with a comprehensive framework for making informed decisions about new business opportunities. The ultimate goal is to support the growth and sustainability of small businesses, contributing to economic development and job creation. The research study methodology was used, and the total number of participants turned out (100), but only (99) of the responses was received, evaluated and digitized in chapter four analysis of the data, whilst a statistical approach of the chi-square was employed for evaluating the hypotheses due to forts significant.
