ABSTRACT
The Study examined teachers’ perception on the role of dramatic play in child’s development in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government. Five Research Questions were raised based on the stated problems. The descriptive Survey design was adopted for the study. A sample size of one hundred and twenty (100) public primary school teachers were selected for the study. The instrument for data collection was a questionnaire. The Data collected was analyzed using Mean and Standard Deviation. The study revealed that early childhood teachers perceived that dramatic play is a powerful tool for children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, language and social development. Therefore, it was recommended among others that education planner and managers should accord more opportunities for integration of dramatic play in primary schools.
