TEACHER RESOURCE UTILIZATION AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS STUDENTS IN OREDO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF EDO STATE

ABSTRACT

This research work is a study on Teacher Resource Utilization and Academic Performance of Primary Schools Students in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. Four research questions were raised to guide the study were directly answered, while two were hypothesized. The research design adopted was the descriptive survey method using questionnaires as the instrument for data collection. The sample composed of ten schools which is 10% of the sampled primary schools Head teacher that responded to the checklist. Data collected were analysed using mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that; The level teacher utilization was High and the level of students’ academic performance was Low It also revealed that; There is a significant relationship between teacher utilization and Pupils academic performance based on sex of the student The study recommends that; Teachers should be utilized to enhance pupils performance and Academic performance of pupils should be improved through the engagement of more teachers.
