ABSTRACT
Based on the findings of data analysis and a thorough examination of existing literature, it is evident that Taxation significantly influences the operations of small-scale business enterprises in Benin City. This includes their investment strategies, hiring practices, and expenditure plans. The research findings indicate that Taxation has a significant, positive impact on smallscale business enterprises in Benin City. The government should exercise control to ensure that businesses can perform perfectly, generate higher earnings, and subsequently meet their tax obligations without being excessively burdened. Moreover, it was observed that a substantial portion of small-scale business owners in Benin City may not be well-versed in technological advancements. Therefore, measures should be put in place to educate them about taxation, including the types of taxes they are liable for and the benefits they can derive from it.
