STUDY HABITS AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF TERTIARY INSTITUTION STUDENTS (A CASE STUDY OF VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION 300LEVEL STUDENTS)

ABSTRACT

This study was carried out to examine the study habit and academic performances of tertiary institution students. The population consisted of students in the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, 300level. The sample comprised of sixty(60) students which were selected from the Department of Vocational and Technical Education in the University of Benin. The data used were collected through questionnaires and were analyzed by different methods of studies made by some authors. Based on those data collected, it was discovered that the study habit and academic performance of tertiary institution students can be improved if more time is dedicated to studying.
