ABSTRACT
This study critically examines the effects of social stratifications in Niyi Osundare’s plays which according to him created socio-political and economic imbalance in the society. Worthy of note is that most African countries particularly Nigeria witness daily widening in the gap between different social classes. This has caused untold woes and hardship in the society, therefore, this study critically looks at Niyi Osundare’s dramatisation of social boundary and its effects as illustrated in his plays entitled The Man Who Walked Away and The Wedding Car.
