ABSTRACT
This study aims to assess the impact of Strategic Management on Public Sector Productivity using Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, Warri, Delta State. In order to actualize the objective of this study, various theoretical and literature issues were discussed.
This study employed a survey research design to determine the impact of strategic management on the public sector productivity. The population of this study comprised 102 staff of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund. The data was collected using questionnaires. Analysis and results were ran and gotten using the statistical software application called SPSS IBM STATISTICS. Chi square model was used for the analysis.
The findings from this Analysis revealed that there is a significant relationship between strategic management and public sector productivity and that strategic management plays is a very important management function in public sector productivity in Nigeria Social trust fund, Warri, Delta state. This study among others recommends that government should ensure all public sector practice strategic management as regards setting their vision and mission, setting plans and goals, evaluation of the environment and the compulsory evaluation of the company strategies from time to time. Suggestions were made for further studies.
