ABSTRACT
This work is based on speech and language disorder in children, using an Autistic child as a case study. It is intended to show the meaning of autism, the cause, how people view it, diagnosing it and it’s treatment and recommendations.
The analysis encompasses the information’s gathered on everything concerning autism.
Finally in this work, we will see that vital information’s and things we don't know about Autism.
It will serve as a means of awareness on Autism.
When we study a language, we don't only study the structure of the speakers.
They are people who have language and speech disorder in our society.
Since they are suffering from speech disorders what are the speech behaviors of these people? That is the road on why we are studying autistic children to know the language and speech disorder they display.
Data for this work are drawn from a known autistic child and his mother, the data was analyzed using our major findings gathered from the child and his mother and theory of the mind and autism by Simon Baron-Cohen in his book 1995: Mind blindness An Essay on Autism.
This research examines speech and languages disorder in children using and autistic child as our case study. Autism is a complicated condition that includes problem with communication and behavior.
Up till date, there are no known causes of autism. However, it is a worrisome case if no awareness is created about it. This work therefore sets out to examining what autism is, people’s view about autism and how it can be diagnosed.
