ABSTRACT
As at 12th of June 2021, Nigerians are at the centre of attack on social media with the hastag #NigeriaMustFall campaign, in which Nigerians were accused of disrupting the socio-economic affairs of South Africans, this is a sign of another xenophobic attacks. Africans have experienced the good, bad and ugly part of living in South Africa and the scapegoating of Nigerians in targeted attacks on African immigrants in South Africa has had a negative impact on the long-standing relations between both countries. The Nigeria and South Africa governments must do the needful to avert xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in the nearest and distant future.
