ABSTRACT
The study examined the effect of social media network on the entrepreneurship intention of university of Benin students, Benin City. With the specific objectives that were carried out and the study observed the extent to which social media adoption, viral marketing, social media search engine optimization and social customer relationship management influences entrepreneurial intention of university of Benin students, Benin city.
The population of this study comprised of University of Benin Students. However, this study’s target population comprised students in the Faculty of Management Sciences in University of Benin. The population as retrieved from the office of the Registrar on Friday. 6th June, 2023 was 3637. The Taro Yammane (1967) was used to get the required sample size from the population. After calculating the sample size by substituting the numbers into the Taro Yamane formula, the sample size arrived at is three hundred and sixty (360).
In conclusion, the findings then provide valuable insights into the complex interplay between social media and entrepreneurship, offering potential avenues for further research and practical implications for educational institutions and aspiring entrepreneurs alike. From the research analysis and conclusions gotten from the study the researcher then gives the necessary recommendations.
