ABSTRACT
In the ever-evolving landscape of information technology (IT), securing internships and placements has become a crucial step for third-year undergraduates in computer science. However, the current recruitment process can be daunting and inefficient, leaving many talented students without the opportunities they deserve. This project aims to revolutionize the IT recruitment experience for third-year computer science undergraduates by designing and developing a comprehensive web application that streamlines the placement process. The proposed web app will serve as a centralized platform, connecting students with potential employers and providing a seamless interface for managing the entire recruitment journey. Key features of the application include:1 Student Profiles: Students will be able to create detailed profiles, showcasing their academic achievements, technical skills, and relevant extracurricular activities, empowering them to present their unique qualifications to prospective employers. 2. Job Listings and Applications: The web app will host a comprehensive database of IT internship and placement opportunities, allowing students to easily search, filter, and apply for positions that align with their career aspirations. 3. Employer Engagement: Employers will have the ability to post job listings, review student profiles, and conduct virtual interviews within the platform, streamlining the recruitment process and fostering direct connections with talented candidates. 4. Notification and Tracking System: The web app will implement a robust notification system to keep students informed about the status of their applications, interview schedules, and placement offers, ensuring a transparent and efficient recruitment experience. 5. Analytics and Reporting: The platform will provide detailed analytics and reporting features, empowering both students and employers to make data-driven decisions throughout the recruitment process. By developing this web application, the project aims to address the challenges faced by third-year computer science undergraduates in securing IT placements, ultimately enhancing their career prospects and contributing to the growth of the IT industry. The project will involve thorough user research, design iterations, and technical implementation to deliver a user-friendly and impactful solution.
