ABSTRACT
The 12V, 1.00KVA Luminous hybrid inverter was analyzed after obtaining it from the market. The components were identified and listed. The printed circuit board layout was traced and represented in a standard procedure. The circuit was reproduced with PROTEUS circuit simulator after code development for the microcontroller PIC16F72 and the simulation shows the major components with the controller. The waveform and characteristics was obtained and necessary adjustment carried to required performance. The Luminous 1.00KVA, 12V, inverter was successfully reversed engineered as its circuit components, circuit layout, codes were successfully reproduced and simulated to produce sinusoidal waveform output with 220V and frequency of 50HZ with supervisory functions of low battery and overload conditions.
