ABSTRACT
This abstract discusses the intricate phenomenon of re-syllabification processes observed in Nigerian WhatsApp voice recordings. The primary focus of this research involves the dynamic and nuanced interplay of constant syllable insertion and deletion within these audio messages. Through a comprehensive analysis of these linguistic phenomena, this study sheds light on the evolving nature of language in digital communication, specifically within the context of WhatsApp in Nigeria. The findings provide valuable insights into the adaptability and fluidity of language in contemporary communication platforms, highlighting the complex nature of syllable-level modifications in voice messages.
