ABSTRACT
The study examined the complex themes of racism and female Marginalization with Chimmanda Adichie's powerful novel Americanah.
The study employed a qualitative approach which involves in-depth analysis of the primary text which talked about Ifemelu a Nigerian woman, as she grapples with complexities of race and gender dynamic in America.
The study on Chimamanda Adichie's Americanah revealed how the novel explored racism and female marginalization, emphasizing colorism and gender dynamics in American society. It also revealed that the book effectively uses racist and sexist language to expose biases that contribute to marginalization. The protagonist, Ifemelu, serves as a critique of societal norms perpetuating racism and sexism, advocating for intersectional approaches to address these issues.
